how do i get a refund for cancelled subscription

I accidentally subscribed to WA Post. I have followed Apple's instructions for cancelling subscriptions to no avail (through iTunes). On my mac, and on my iphone, the option to cancel subscription does not appear. WA Post tells me to go through Apple. I want my $99.00 refunded. Can anyone tell me how to cancel and get my money refunded?
