I just find this... Procon-SP questioned Apple, who “reported that water resistance would not be a permanent condition of the device, and could decrease over time; and that to avoid liquid damage consumers should stop swimming or showering with their smartphones and use it in conditions of extreme humidity “
An IP water resistance rating for any consumer electronic device should never be treated as an excuse to deliberately expose the item to water. Resistance merely means it is less likely to be damaged than a non-rated device, but not that it cannot be damaged.

don’t works for me…
I acidentalmente dropped my phone XS in water, but only the top half of my phone landed in it and it was only in there for 1 second. I dried
