We cannot block anything. We’re just users like you. And the imei number doesn’t have much to do with anything. Check out this article https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201472

Neither us, other users like yourself, nor Apple can block IMEI numbers.


Only you cellular service provider can black list IMEI numbers so the device cannot be used with it or other carriers that share the black list database. Do note, most carriers will not un-blacklist an IMEI once blacklisted, so make sure you have no chance of recovering the iPhone before you request this from your carrier.


It is better if you follow the steps in the link provided by AKRBTN and lock your device by setting it to Lost Mode.
