Once my iphone has been unlocked for another carrier, how do i access the phone
The carrier being changed would have no effect on the passcode at all. You are going to have to erase the phone using your home computer with iTunes if your passcode isn't working. See the directions in this link --> If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support
Thanks, I have followed these directions but do not yet have the “Hello” screen. It’s asking me for the passcode. The passcode I used before I unlocked the phone is not working.
my computer has been in “iPhone recovery mode” for more than an hour, “downloading the software for the iPhone and will restore your iPhone when the download is complete.” Nothing has happened. How long should this take?
I was getting the “hello” screen until I had it unlocked. Now that it’s u locked it’s asking for a passcode.
Yes, I don’t know why but it in fact did happen that after the phone was unlocked, it asked for a passcode and the one I used when the phone was active is not working.
it looks like things are finally moving on the restoring iPhone software front and I’m hoping to see the hello screen again soon!
thanks for input!
You access the iPhone the same way as you have been when it was locked to a carrier. Nothing changes except the ability of your iPhone to be able to work with other carriers.
