Low data mode

I’ve turned my low data mode off but it still says I’m in low data mode and I e turned my phone off

iPhone 11, iOS 14

There is low data mode in two sections of settings. One of them is for the Cellular service: Open Settings âž” Cellular âž” Data Mode âž” Low Data Mode: Set this to OFF.

The other section is in the Wi-Fi Section when you are connected to a Wi-Fi Network. Open Settings âž” Wi-Fi âž” Tap on the (i) next to the Wi-Fi Network that you are connected to âž” Low Data Mode: Set this to OFF.


If the above does not work then Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF). 


Then try turning of Low Data Mode again.
