“All home hubs are not responding” error multiple times a day

Hello Apple community!


I am constantly facing notifications on my iPhone SE stating “All home hubs are not responding” then in a few minutes I’ll receive a notification stating “A home hub is responding”. Often multiple times a day.


I am fairly new to HomeKit and set up an ecobee thermostat, a Logitech doorbell, and a LG TV a few months ago. The three devices are connected my AppleTV 4K which is the only HomeKit hub at the moment.


My AppleTV 4K is hard wired connected to my xfinity wireless router, and I have restarted both my iPhone and AppleTV multiple times. OS’s for both the iPhone and AppleTV are up to date.


Is there anyone who has faced this issue and resolved it?

Hi everyone. Wanted to close the loop on this. I called AppleCare and they were able to help.


I had to reset my AppleTV to factory setting. Once completed and reconnected it as the HomeKit hub and I’ve had zero notifications for the last ~36 hours.


Thank you and I hope this helps anyone else who has the same problem

We see that you keep getting notifications about your home hubs not responding then responding multiple times a day.

We’d be happy to help you!


Were you able to restart your router that your Apple TV is connected to as well?


You can also refer to Set up your HomePod, HomePod mini, Apple TV, or iPad as a home hub.


Let us know if that does not resolve the issue.
