iPad won’t turn on
My sons school iPad won’t turn on after his drink leaked in his bag was working but read online to turn off for 24 hours so ports can dry out now won’t come on any help plz

An iPad is not waterproof. Whether the Lightning port itself has dried out or not is largely irrelevant if liquid has penetrated the housing.
Unfortunately, the iPad is likely dead - and beyond recovery.

Liquids and electronics do not mix.
Not sure what kind of “drink” this was, but if it had sugar in it, that just made things even worse.
Is this a new-ish iPad?
Any paid, extended, two-year+ AppleCare+ warranty on this iPad?
If an old iPad, anywhere from 6-10-years old, NOT worth any repair costs.
That iPad is dead now.

It was water and not that much his iPad is just a year old it’s used for school. He had a iPad b4 and dropped that in a padding pool and that work for another 5 years lol
It does not take much liquid to short out electronics.
Give it a day and see if you get the iPad working, again.
If not, it maybe dead.
