Fall detection

If you are out of range of service provider(ex can’t get ATT service in location of fall) will it still work?

You need to be able to make a phone call.

Cellular
WiFi Calling

The one exception is that the Series 5, 6 & 7 can call the 911 equivalent if they are in another country from their cellular provider.

Otherwise, if the Apple Watch cannot connect to a cellular radio system, or a WiFi access point for WiFi calling, then you cannot call emergency services.
