drag and drop issues in Monterey
I cannot drag and drop files in the Finder on my Mac Pro (desktop) since upgrading to Monterey 12.0.1. Anyone else having the same problem? Any solutions?

I was able to solve this problem with hints from the Interwebs: I opened System Preferences > Trackpad, and unchecked the box labeled "Force Click and haptic feedback." This solved my problem! Good luck.
I 'm glad you found a preferable solution. Stick-to-itiveness paid off
Nice! Works for me too.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This was annoying the **** out of me!!
OMG THANK YOU!!!!
I've been looking for this for hours!
Thanks! This solved the problem for me.
THank so much -this worked. THIs Apple crap is getting bad!
Thanks Robert. This has been bugging me for a while and I finally took the time to search for a solution. Works perfectly.
I have the same issue with latest version of Monterey dragging images from web to desktop. It no longer works. Even screenshots take about 15 minutes to show up.
Thanks a lot for the tip. I had this problem with click and drag (and drop) in the iCal app. Couldn't move events from one day to another. Followed your advise and all good now. Thanks again.
One click - you solved it for me. Thanks!
(OS: Monterey) Using my mouse I try to drag and drop files and folders in new location but it only copies them, does NOT MOVE them. Any ideas for me?
THANK YOU!
My problem exactly - hopefully someone can help us out. I found how to enable 3-finger dragging with the trackpad but haven't found any help for dragging with a mouse in Monterey....HELP!! :-)
For all who have recently posted - have you read the post by RobertPiston? That solved it for me.

Insane that this was the fix. It has been driving me insane for nearly a year.
Drag and drop is still a problem with Monterey 12.6 on M1 MBP when Force click and haptic feedback option selected on trackpad. Thanks to RobertPiston's hint.
