New iPhone IOS 15 now or later

I have the iPhone SE 1st gen. I have not upgraded to IOS 15, and stay with 14.8.1. as Apple allows and gives security updates to those keeping 14.8.1 still. When would it seem OK to move forward and upgrade to 15? Is there hesitancy because 15 is still so new?

If you are staying with with 14.8.1 then you should have a reason for that. Only you know what that reason was. You would then upgrade to iOS 15 whenever you think that reason is no longer valid.

No, there is no widespread hesitancy to upgrade to iOS 15. You can upgrade to it whenever you feel comfortable with it.

There are no current major issues with it.Though changes to the interface and functionality may be cause some issues after the update is performed.
