Apple TV remote app missing

What you have discovered is actually correct. There is no app with an icon for the Apple TV Remote app. It exists and can only be accessed from the control center in iOS 14/15.

If you previously used the “Remote” app …

… you might find that the C&P function works “differently.”

Rest assured that it’s not “broken” … it just requires a little “reprogramming” of one’s fingers.
