HELP!!! Transfer Non-Purchased Music to New Iphone 13

I upgraded to an Iphone 13 Pro Max, from an XS Max. My music library has followed me through a decade of iphones, at least. Theres maybe 5 purchased songs, and the rest is all music from CDs and files long gone that I legally own. Like many here have noted, it did not transfer. I downloaded iTunes, which I thought was dead but apparently not... And it looks like all options under File > Devices are greyed out (Sync, Transfer Purchases, Backup, etc) even after reinstalling itunes on my pc. I did sign up for the free trial of apple music and try to sync libraries, but still seems to have just synced the apple-purchased music, yet again. Without purchasing a sketchy 3rd party service, How in the Heck do I transfer the music that I LEGALLY RIGHTFULLY OWN to my new phone, in the 30 day limit I have before I have to send the old phone back to AT&T for trade-in?

(To save time- please know that I do not have this music saved to any other devices/computers. This music is 10+ years old, those files are loooong gone.)

(Please also note: I HAVE A PC, NOT A MAC. So please don't give me answers involving Macs. )

Hi, rsquirrelz.

Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you’re experiencing an issue getting the music from your iPhone XS Max to your new iPhone 13 Pro Max, and we would like to offer our assistance.

First, we noted that you requested content as it relates to iTunes on a PC. You may find it useful to bookmark the iTunes User Guide for PC. It may be reassuring knowing that all the guidance here will be related to a PC.

iTunes is designed to allow you to sync from your computer to your iPhone. You won’t find an official way to transfer the content from your iPhone XS Max back to your computer, if that is your goal.

Is this the PC that you used to import the CDs to your iTunes Library or sync your content to your iPhone XS Max? If it is, you may be able to sync it directly to your iPhone 13 Pro Max. Your music is generally stored in “Music\iTunes\iTunes Media” when imported. This article will help you find it:

It's also possible that you have more than one iTunes library on your PC. Try checking for other .itl files, too.

Ultimately, we're looking for your existing library on your PC so you can follow these instructions and sync it to your new iPhone:

We look forward to learning more.

Warmest Regards.
