iMac 2020 Memory Addition

Hi, everybody. I have iMac27-inch 2020 and I would like to add more memory. Now, I have 2 slots of 8GB each. I am curios to know that I am able to add more 2 slots of 16GB each (8-8-16-16) or I should add memory each slot equally to be 8-8-8-8. I am looking for new memory and I am still not sure that those memory slots are compatible with my iMac. Can I ask you to help me to solve my problem and I have attach 2 photos. One is my memory slot information and another one is memory slots that I would like to buy. Thank you very much🙏🏻.

I also have a 2020 27" iMac and added 2 x 16GB DIMMS to it to get to 40GB or RAM. I 100% agree on where the RAM should be purchased from as iMacs are very sensitive to using quality RAM. It appears you are not in the USA so my recommendation is to use Crucial.com. When you install in order to get the quickest speeds please install as follows:

Slots 1 & 2 install the original RAM

Slots 3 & 4 install the upgraded 16GB DIMMs.

If you intend to add more memory, you need to be very selective about brands as Macs are very picky. Crucial and OWC seems to be the most acceptable, trouble free, brands. We used Crucial and never had problems.

As to modules, I never mix brands or capacities. Over the years I've found that to be a satisfactory tact. I do know of successful additions similar to what you are proposing. Others will hopefully answer your specific placement question; I've never had to face that.
