MBP Monterey & TV+ = Spinning Beachball of Death
Using TV+ on a 2021 MBP with Monterey is so unreliable.
- I purchased a couple of TV seasons and downloaded all programs.
- The files are stored locally and played the first few programs fine ... but
- Each time I reopen TV+ to view the further programs I get a spinning beachball of death.
The only way to fix this is to end task and restart TV+, then delete the file that I attempted to play and redownload the files. The files are fine (downloaded from the Apple store several times). It seems to be an annoying bug that makes TV+ on a MBP an unpleasant experience.
Any idea what this is and how to fix it?
I'd previously given up on iTunes movies a few years back, and I normally now buy my movies and TV shows thru Amazon Prime and Google Play because Apple's TV+ is such a bad experience (no android app for my 2019 Sony TV, playback on MBP is inconvenient and unreliable) ... but unfortunately the show that I downloaded is only available thru Apple so I had to chance it. The current issue just serves to remind me how bad that service is.
