Disable Universal Control on iPads?

Is there any way to disable Universal Control on the iPad? I have a couple of iPads and 2 Macbooks, and I want to be able to use Universal Control between the Macbooks but NOT the iPads. I'll be playing a game or something on the iPad at the same time as working on the computer, and my cursor keeps disappearing over to the iPad, which I have no need for. It's maddening! I'd like to disable it on the iPads, but all I can see to do is disable it on the Macbook.

iPad Pro, iPadOS 15

On your iPad

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap General, then tap AirPlay & Handoff.
  3. Turn off Cursor and Keyboard.
