Changing region with Apple One subscription and family sharing

We moved to the US from Europe and I need to change region on the App Store to have access to some apps. I've cancelled my subscriptions (Apple One and Netflix) as per the guidance on how to change and I'm waiting for the end of the subscription period for both.

However, I don't want to loose the backups and photos stored on iCloud. How can I preserve the data in iCloud while changing region?

You will need to download anything in iCloud to a computer to save it.

Anything that exceeds the 5GB free option will be deleted from iCloud including iOS backups, Photos, email, etc...

Make sure you have downloaded it to a computer and is in a different folder than iCloud before the iCloud. / Apple One subscription expires.
