  1. Verify that the Fire OS software is up-to-date.
  2. Try to delete and re-install the Apple TV app.
  3. Verify that the time, date, and timezone are correct on the device.


If the issue persists after that, then contact the Apple staff for further assistance.

Just wondering OP if the advice above resolved the issue? This thread has been marked as “solved” - I have the same issue, and have followed the same steps and it doesn’t fix.


I also have a pre-existing Apple TV+ account that is also already signed in on a number of devices, including another firecube (2nd gen). Trying to sign in on a new firecube (2nd gen) and I’m hit with the verification failed error


I’ve noticed this is a long-standing issue too, with threads and posts going back years!!
