How can I disable "choose an ending point" when setting a focus?

Every time I set a focus, it asks me to choose an ending point for the Focus (such as “For 1 hour” or “Until I leave this location”). I never set a length for my focus and it is very annoying to always have to go through this extra step.

Hello Daxcious,

As far as avoiding that screen for how long to activate the focus, you can set up a Focus schedule. Use Focus on Apple Watch - Apple Support.

Create a Focus schedule
On Apple Watch you can schedule when each Focus occurs—you can even choose to have a Focus start at different times of the day. For example, you could schedule the Work Focus to start at 9 AM and end at noon, Monday through Friday. From noon to 1 PM you may have no Focus or have a Personal Focus take over. Then, start the Work Focus again from 1 PM until 5 PM, Monday through Thursday.
1. Open the Settings app  on your Apple Watch.
2. Tap Focus, tap a Focus—Work, for example—then tap “Add new.”
3. Tap the From and To fields and enter the times you want the Focus to begin and end.
4. Scroll down, then choose days when the Focus will be active.
5. Tap < in the top-left corner to save the Focus.
6. Repeat this process to add other events to the Focus.

Other than that, you can request these changes be made to the iOS overall at Apple's Product Feedback - Apple page.

We hope this information helps you out.

Cheers!

Perhaps I did not ask my question clearly. When I select a focus on my Apple Watch, such as "Do Not Disturb", I have to select the length I want the focus activated or just plain "on". I just want to be able to choose the focus and it activates without asking how long or to select "on". Hopefully, the pictures attached should make it clear. It is the second screen that I would like to bypass.

That doesn't appear to be an option.

Hi Daxcious,

You can view your Focus settings under Settings > Focus. If this is an issue with a specific Focus, check if there is a schedule or Automation set for it and that it's set how you prefer. Or you can turn that aspect off.

Also, is this. custom Focus that encounters this issue or a prebuilt Focus such as Sleep or Do Not Disturb, etc?

See more info about Focus in the article below and let us know if the issue persists.

Cheers!
