Since installing Safari 16 when I launch a tab group, two new problems occur. First, all tabs appear but the last tab in the group shows up on my screen and all tabs load very slowly. Second, if I click on the first tab in the group (which should appear on screen first) all tabs load at normal speed.

If you hold down the Command key whilst opening a tab group, the tabs open and load as you would expect, with the left hand tab active and loaded.
That *sort of* works; you still end up with the start page as the first tab, but at least the focus goes to the first tab in the group and the other tabs seem to load quickly...
BUT...
I shouldn't *have* to hold Command while clicking on the tab group to *sort of* get back the functionality that was working just fine before... not complaining at you, just at the situation... APPLE! Fix Safari 16.0 Tabs, please!
I also have this problem when loading multiple tabs at once. Safari used to do this behavior several upgrades ago and they finally fixed it, now it's doing it again. I want tabs to fully open in the background.
I am having a similar problem. When I open a group of tabs, they all open in the background, and refuse to load until I select one of the tabs. Very irritating.

Sure the tabs appear but they don't completely load in the background and you have to wait after clicking each tab.
