IOS 16 Wallpaper Blur

For some reason whenever I try to blur my homescreen wallpaper it just turns one solid color. I’ve tried different wallpapers and different effects and to no avail it’s still one solid color

I have figured out the issue, the problem is that the “reduce transparency” setting was enabled. all you have to do is disable it.
