Hello Jack - thank you for your speedy response. I was extremely nervous about upgrading especially as this OS was not recommended in my upgrade pattern. I was also concerned about backing up my Mac but in the end 'bit the bullet' and upgraded without any issues. Most importantly my email is back up and running so thank you so much for your advice!
