is apple id and icloud id the same?
I thought I updated my apple id but when I tried to use it, it only acknowledged my login with my icloud id! Are they the same?

Generally, the terms are used interchangeably. In some cases, people have more than one ID and call them different things. But, if you've only ever had one, they are the same.
