In the future will the Apple Pencil 2 be able to be used with the iPad generation 10

The second generation Apple Pencil is only compatible with iPad models that feature an inductive/magnetic charging dock that is explicitly designed for pairing/charging the second generation Pencil. 

The iPad10 does not have an inductive charging dock - principally as the front-facing camera has been relocated to the centre of the long-edge of the screen - and now occupies the internal cavity that might otherwise house the inductive charging dock components. As such, the iPad10 instead supports the first generation Apple Pencil that is paired and charged via the iPad’s USB-C port.

As for the special USB-C/Lightning Adapter, this adapter is included within the box of new first generation Pencils. If purchased directly from Apple, a new Pencil will include the adapter. Older stock, purchased from other retailers, may not include the Adapter.

For owners of existing first generation Pencils, or for purchasers of old-stock Pencils, the special adapter is available as an accessory:

This is never going to happen, ever.

The new iPad 10th gen lack the internal magnetic inductive charging/pairing hardware to charge and pair an Apple Pencil 2.

The new placement of the Centerstage FaceTime camera hardware has taken the place of where the Apple Pencil 2 charging and pairing hardware would have been.

Apple Pencil 2 pairing and charging support will not be coming to the new, base model 2022 iPad 10th gen.

Sorry, but NOT going to ever happen!

Maybe this will channge next year with a new introduction of a base model 2023 11th gen 10.9 in ch screen iPad model. Only Apple knows.

But presently, this will NOT be happening with the current and new base model 2022 iPad 10th gen.

The base model iPad 10th gen is forever stuck with an inelegant Apple Pencil 1st gen pairing and charging solution and a USB-C port that only has USB-2.0 data transfer speeds and a non-laminated screen display

The base model 10th gen iPad is what it is.

You'd be better off purchasing, for not that much more money a refiurbished 2020 4th or refurbished or new 2022 5th gen iPad Air that supports the Apple Pencil 2, has, for the iPad Air 4th gen, an Apple A14 Bionic CPU and an M1 CPU, for the new 5th gen iPad Air ( with the 5th gen iPad Air supporting the new Apple iPadOS Stage Manager feature ), a fully laminated screens and full data rate USB-C ports.

Also, even a refurbished 2018 or 2020 iPad Pro, with Apple's A12X Bionic or A12Z Bionic, would be a much better deal/choce and are still considered very powerful iPads at a substantially discounted price, now, when compared to the new 2022 base model 10th gen iPad that is, presently $120 U.S.D. more than the older base model 9th gen iPad model
