As I explained, it is not a problem with your keyboard. You have Mouse Keys enabled.

You have Mouse Keys enabled. I don't know if you can disable it without logging in.
You can try this…
To quickly turn Mouse Keys on or off using the Accessibility Options shortcut panel, press Option-Command-F5 (or if your Mac has Touch ID, quickly press Touch ID three times).
Test a different keyboard. Most any generic USB keyboard will work.
Test your keyboard connected to another Mac if possible. If not, run it into your local Apple Store or AASP for testing.
The MacBook Pro’s keyboard does not count as a keyboard that can be connected to the iMac.
To test another keyboard with the iMac, you will need to dig out, barrow or buy a USB keyboard and connect it to the iMac.
You can connect the iMac’s keyboard to the MacBook Pro in order to test the keyboard.
Just to add, you can also try pressing the Option key 5 times to toggle it off.

Yes I connected the keyboard to my Mac book and it types fine. not sure what's happening here I just purchased this iMac 2 weeks ago. Really didn't want to spend 3 hours in an apple store.Thank You
It is not a keyboard problem.
Have you tried the instructions provided by dislabrain?
