Location services for product improvement is always on after 16.2.

It is the very last item on the list of system services after 16.2. I noticed the icon my location services are on like everytime i looked my phone (purple arrow). So i blamed the “find my” after i disabled it the icon kept appearing show that “Improve Maps” is using my gps even though i did not even allowed it. Like it is constant. What can i do about it? image of location services

I did not even toggle on this feature. After 16.2. all I got is just a malfunctioning GPS tracking device instead of an expensive iPhone how am I supposed to fix this? Evein when its of it keeps using GPS without my permission which is absolutly unexpectable.

I have not give any permission for apple analytics & improvements

Hello chips07,

It sounds like your are seeing location services on constantly after the recent update, right? It seems like out of the System Services, only SOS and related items have access to your location data. Are you able to take another screenshot to show the maps option being switched on?

i am not sure how much is this going to help however here you go you may see the MAPS application GPS arrow is greyed out because I used it recently (pri pouzivani - GPS is allowed only when using an apple maps) however "Improve Maps" location system services will always stay Purple meaning it is still on GPS even without my permission.

Hi chips07,

Thanks for replying. The purple arrow indicates that an item recently used your location, but does not mean that it's currently using it. Did you only recently change your settings? While there's not any specific information available about how long a purple arrow would remain after a function was used, it could be normal if you recently changed that setting.
