iphone 13 pro max camera lense scratch

Hello,

I found a scratch on the glass covering the bottom camera lense. It doesn't seem to go over the center where the actual camera lense is visible - the transparent area (it is on the black portion). Do you think this scratch will impact the quality of my photos and I should have the glass replaced?

iPhone 13, iOS 16

Thanks for reaching out epbat,

It sounds like you are noticing a scratch near your iPhone camera's lens and want to know what is the best course of action. We can help.

It's a great question, but the answer is that it depends. Whether you notice any change in quality will only be found out by using the camera and taking some photos and seeing for yourself. Generally speaking, scuffs, scratches, and regular wear and tear are not covered by warranty and rarely serviced. However, if you find that the scratch does impair your ability to take photos, you can definitely look into hardware service for your device.

If that's the case, you can Contact Apple for support and service.

Hope that helps.

Take care.
