my latest updates are not installed

so i wanted to free some space on my laptop so I watched a video on youtube to help me

I shutted down my laptop and pressed cmd R and started to erase some stuff i don't know what they are but it turned out that i've erased the disk I think which made the laptop doesn't open,so I used terminal and changed the date and it opened but now all the new updates version doesn't want to be installed so i need help please

To get us started with that, we would suggest erasing your disk and reinstalling macOS following the official Apple Support steps for this process here: Erase and reinstall macOS - Apple Support.


Doing this will revert the Mac back to its factory default state, and allow you to reinstall a Time Machine backup or set up the computer as new, then install any available updates using the Apple Support steps in Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support.


Once you have gotten your macOS reinstalled, you can use the Apple Support article Free up storage space on your Mac - Apple Support to learn how to remove content you do not need or want from your Mac.
