If you forgot your passcode and are unable to unlock your Apple Watch, you need to reset it, then set it up again.

That's a really open-ended question. What do you mean?

Nothing should happen to the old watch as long as you set them up differently. You would have 2 watches. Both can be paired to your iPhone.

My apple watch series 1 was paired with my old iphone x, which I no longer have. I bought a new apple watch series 6 about 3 years ago and paired it with my old iphone x and stopped using my old apple watch series 1. I have a new phone now and the only watch that is paired with it is my apple watch series 6. My child wanted to use my old apple watch series 1 but It wouldn’t take my passcode and now the phone is locked. I’m just curious why it didn’t take my passcode since I haven’t changed my passcode at all?
