Paid for iCloud subscription but it still showing 5gb storage

Wondering where you are viewing the storage amount:

Eg: an iPhone may need to be restarted to show the increased storage amount:

Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

Else: If you are logged in to iCloud, try logging out.

Then log back in, and check the amount to see if it updated ok.

Troubleshooting Storage Inconsistencies:

New iCloud Sessions:

Sign Out of iCloud on all of your devices associated to this account, and then sign back in. Perhaps it all needs to resync?
