Apple logo black screen cycle
when I try to turn my Mac on, I get a white apple for a few seconds and can hear the computer trying, but the screen goes black and silent again, repeats over and over.

Try booting into safe mode and then back to normal mode. Booting into Safemode runs system diagnostics and will repair many problems.
