You will find “allow accessories to connect” option, only if you have a Mac laptop with Apple silicon, you have to approve new USB or Thunderbolt devices you connect to your Mac.

Is this an Apple Silicon mac or Intel mac?

AFAICT, that "allow accessories to connect" only exists in Apple Silicon macs.

And, FWIW, I have an Intel mac running Ventura 13.2.1 and, although I do NOT have that setting, there is no problem in connecting accessories, I do it all the time.

Not helpful to the user or to the computer ?

Not helpful to the user. Considering that USB-connected KVM switches and other devices stopped working normally, and there is no way to tweak that setting, this should be added to be configurable on all machines. Or Apple should get a jolt from the number of users reporting this issue - and solve it.

Dev team does NOT monitor these forums.

These are user forums, and Apple only monitors them to guarantee that people abide by the rules. There is a team of forum moderators for that purpose.

Users try and often succeed in helping others, but cannot make changes to macOS or solve bugs.

Usually these forums work like this: a user reports an issue. Others confirm that they have it as well, providing the stats on their setup (hw/sw versions). Dev team sees that the issue got to a certain level of popularity by the number of posts in the thread and realizes that they have an issue to address. There's nothing personal here.

With all due respect, while I understand your stats, it's not helpful. I'm looking to resolve this situation and I'm giving my stats so that hopefully someone at Apple reads and addresses this issue.
