No recording settings area?

Using Macbook Air; GB10.4.3 I'm trying to increase the volume of recording from a MIDI keyboard. The forums tell me to increase the volume in the recording settings area but in my version there is no recording settings area in the smart controls window??

There's no internal mic on quicktime player I went to do a screen recording, but there was no audio. I went to see if there was any prompt for quicktime player to record the internal audio, but it only allows external audio as an option. I then opened an audio recording in quicktime player, but it only has external audio as an option, not internal. I then went on the apple website to see if there was any other solutions, but there wasn't anything of use. Apparently there's meant to be "display audio" as an option to access the internal mic, but for some reason, MacOS 12.3 must not have it. Another solution was to allow access to the internal mic via privacy and settings, but Quicktime player doesn't appear as an app that requires authorisation. If anyone has any solutions on how to access the internal mic without 3rd party extensions, please let me know.

Channel strip level meter not indicating volume level when playing back a recorded audio track Hi have just downloaded Logic Pro to new MacBook, linked to Scarlett Audio Interface. Everything seems fine EXCEPT ...on playback of a recorded audio track. Issue: The audio track/s are recording absolutely fine ..via multiple inputs ...doing everything they should and volume is registering (while recording) in the individual track channel strip level meters. Prior to recording the individual track channel strip level meters ARE showing the volume of the audio inputs. On Playback, the audio track volume is registering in the summed stereo channel strip BUT NOT showing in the individual audio track channel strip level meters. The audio tracks are however playing back fine and can be manipulated eg via automation etc... Not had this issue on previous Mac with the same audio interface and hardware setup. Question: What is the correct setting to ensure the volume of recorded audio tracks on playback is by default indicated in the audio track channel strip level meters ? To confirm this issue does not occur for software instrument tracks. Any advice to fix this would be gratefully received. Thank you very much. J

Quicktime screen recording randomly stops recording. I am using an M2 Mackbook Air on the latest version of MacOS Sequoia. When doing longer screen recordings, my macbook randomly cuts off and stops recording, with no warning and plenty of space left. This time varies between 10 and 40 minutes with seemingly no control. My mac has over 100gb of storage left after these recordings stop, and I have not had this problem before upgrading to sequoia. How can I fix this issue?

That is for analog inputs, not midi.

It might be best to see if you can adjust it at the keyboard.

If things get desperate you can always edit the individual notes:

Thanks - I have tried that but it doesn't make much difference. I'm looking for this option which I cant find on my version?
