Apple TV+ free 3 months

Have just bought a new MacBook Air but have not been given the free 3 months Apple TV+ as per the usual promotion? How do I get this?

If you are already an Apple TV subscriber – or have already taken advantage of a free trial – the 3-month offer might not be available to you.

Hi I've done that - I actually had a free 1 month trial from somewhere else that is ongoing till 13th July so when I click on 'check eligibility' it just takes me to the logged in apple tv subscription. Do I need to wait till this expires before I can claim the free 3 months?
