Apple Mail Merge (eMail)

I used to do a lot of mail merges using Word and an Excel.csv files, before Pages & Numbers were available, but I never had a need to do eMail merges, until now. I found two sources that employ Apple scripts. I never used AppleScript, although I wanted to, when it came out. Is it still available? I've looked on the App Store to no avail. I'd like to avoid tools like Constant Contact or Mail Chimp.

Thoughts, suggestions, anyone? If you know of a simple solution, feel free to offer it up, even if it does not directly address my AppleScript question.

Thanks in advance for any help/ guidance you may have for me.

Do you mean bulk mailings. Not many legitimate email apps do that.

AppleScript is built-in to macOS. You use the Script Editor program to write the code. Old references you found may suggest a different name as it changed about 5 to 10 years ago.

Hi Barney. Yes, bulk mailing would be another name for what I seek to accomplish, although I'm only looking at 20 or so per day, so I'm hoping that will stay below the radar for the Internet cops.

As indicated, I've found several sources with scripts to use gmail or outlook, but not Mail. I was hopeful, but now less so. Your response did force me to relook for Apple's script editor. I has searched, etc, but never found it. I had not looked in Utilities folder, where, of course, it exists, so I thank you for that trigger.

If push comes to shove, I will just have to cut and paste from my DB to Mail, but that is not the end of the world for me, bc as indicated, my volumes are relatively small.
