how do i reset my ipad 6 with "Ipad unavailable" message

I gave my old IPAD 6 to my 5 year old Grandson. The screen is broken and no previous sign in info will open it. His Mom explained that she used it for a short period and had added her apple ID, however she erased her info when he came for a summer visit. Now i want to repair it and return it to him because he uses it to contact me. It says "IPAD UNAVAILABLE"

iPad Unavailable, try again in 7h 15m Hi, so my child was locked out of her ipad when another child took hold of it and attempted to key in the passcode multiple times. I was able to connect her iPad to my PC (iTunes) and enter it into Recovery Mode, then do an Update or Restore. I chose Update. After the update downloaded to her device, the screen went black, then the Apple logo and the following message, "iPad Unavailable, try again in 7hr 15m." Will I be able to get into her iPad after this time period has expired?? What will be the next step in this process? Also, I made the mistake in changing her password on iCloud thinking it would sync to her device not realizing it wasn't the password but the passcode that was the issue. Double jeopardy....am hoping I can use her old password which s/b on her device still. Thoughts/suggestions? Thanks.

iPad-Pro inherited from the co-worker Hi Guys, I have inherited an iPad from a co-worker who left the co. and the iPad is not reset and I am trying to figure out way to reset it so that I can reset it on my name and use it with my apple Id. I tried using itunes and such but it does not work. Plus the worker does not remember her appleID. The iPad is like a $1000 brick right now. N e lead is greatly appreciated. Kam

Click here and follow the instructions. Restoring the iPad requires plugging it into a computer with iTunes installed, or a Mac running Catalina or newer.

If there's an option to erase it, you can use that instead.
