Most of these replies are nonsense, and they don’t know anything about that. Bypass charging uses power directly from the adapter instead of drawing from the battery, and it is very useful when doing heavy tasks like playing games without using any battery power. It also prevents the phone from heating. And now the answer to your question is that iPhones don’t have this feature yet. Maybe it is available in 16 Pro Max, as Apple is slowly trying hard for gaming.

Recommend this as a Feature Request:

Having misinterpreted your post, I recommend you provide this as feedback this to Apple. Unfortunately, there is no direct feedback link available for iOS itself.  So,...

  1. Use this Site: Feedback - iPhone - Apple.
  2. Select: "Feature Request" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that you want this it be an option and why. Include the UP of this thread.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary

Your reply is not helpful. People like you ignoring the question really make it exhausting browsing this forum. I hope administrators will acknowledge this and will make it possible to mark low effort irrelevant “replies” so that they show up last. Also, rerouting the person who asked a question to a feature submission website is useless — this is not something that can be added in a software update if hardware doesn’t allow it. Overall, your reply is just super useless and just takes up space and annoys people.

The question if it’s possible to directly power an iPhone while bypassing charging still stands. I assume it is not possible, but I’d like a confirmation.
