Be careful. Just bought 2TB V-NAND SSD with an enclosure all rated for high write speeds and my iPhone 15 pro max will not give it enough power to actually show in the camera app for ProRes Log recording. It successfully connected once, but the only way I was able to get it to connect was use a usbc hub that had other connections and connect a battery to one of the usbc connections and the SSD to the other usbc connections. It’s a mess sadly. Will probably need to return the SSD unless I can figure out a way for the iPhone to power the SSD without needing two other devices.
side note. I have an older standard SSD with an enclosure that that when plugged in works fine, but was hoping to get one that would be future proofing myself for at least a 2-3years. Looks like I future proofed too far, haha
