I believe I was scammed into connecting an unauthorized Samsung device (and Samsung Pay) via my iPhone. They hacked my credit union acct and went on a shopping spree. Is this an iPhone security thing I can take care of? Is there way to kill any connection to another device?

Perhaps to login to your iCloud account to see what devices
are reporting there, and see if a change there helps fix this.
Sign in and use iCloud.com - Apple Support

with your AppleID. Should be same as login here.
You should be able to access most iCloud online by browser.
