Another thing to remember: estimates are that there are ~3 million users of ASC, but less than 100 people who have "stayed on" to help others rather than ask questions. With 10s of thousands of questions posted a day, it is impossible for that small and part-time cadre of volunteer tech troopers to handle every question.
Could we have a not helpful button in order to firstly keep a spotlight on items not addressed...
Not sure that would work given the current staffing and structure because there are not enough volunteers to handle special cases. Many question have incomplete information and they are more likely to get skipped over . Others are addressed to Apple who are not here other than in moderations roles.
There is one thing where you can have an effect and that is someone posting wrong or dangerous information. Once you reach Level 2, you will have reporting privileges giving you a way to directly alert the Mods. They can then check out the offending post and take action if needed. And you do not have to openly challenge the person who posted such information. Leave it to the Mods.
