Unable to delete WhatsApp backup from iCloud

The free space in my iCloud account is almost over and I would like to get some more storage by deleting Whatsapp backup.

I went to "Manage Account Storage" > Whatsapp > "Delete Data from iCloud button" > "Delete" and nothing happens.

I tried many ways to get this to work without success: hard iPhone reset, sign out and sign in back to my iCloud account, deactivate backup in Whatsapp. Also there is no option in Whatsapp to delete iCloud backup.

What should I do? Buying more iCloud storage is not an option.

Just solved it:

Got access to a Macbook, logged in with my iCloud account and went to System Preferences > iCloud. There I clicked on the delete "WhatsApp backup" button and seconds later the backup data was gone :)
