Will Apple (at the Apple store) transfer my files from my old PC to my new Mac?

The last time I visited my fairly large suburban Boston Apple-owned store, Users who needed help transferring user data from older devices to newer devices (regardless of what devices) were directed to a table at the back of the store. There, many cables and adapters were available to borrow, and an associate who reminded me of a camp counselor was hovering and available to get you started and answer questions as they arose.
