Edits on iCloud notes on Windows PC (Google Chrome) not saving

Holy monkey, that totally worked! (Using the same note between iOS 17.3.1 and Chrome 122.0.6261.129 x infinity.)

I'd been using the same note for years, and after copying and pasting the content into a new note, it started saving and syncing perfectly. What I never even noticed, however, was when I edited the old note, it was actually causing all of my notes to get stuck with the "Saving..." notification in the upper right corner. My guess is this had something to do with updates causing older notes to no longer be compatible with the newer OS. (Whatever the cause, it made me want to uppercut my monitor so hard it would start speaking in tongues.)

Copying over to a new note only worked for about a day for me. After that the new note acted exactly the same as the old. Same "Saving..." and never saving issue. Apple please fix for real.

Just wanted to thank you for the suggestion - this worked for me too. The problem was driving me nuts. It was only affecting two of my notes, which were also my most edited notes.

I came here after googling the issue and after clearing my browser cookies and site data on the work PC and the issue still persisting (only initial edit made inside iCloud.com Notes window on Chrome browser is reflected on other devices and then anymore edits on Chrome on PC don’t sync to my iPhone Notes app).

I occasionally get this issue too and often forget to copy the contents across a new note (as I think this is how I ‘solved it’ last time 😒) so I appreciate others detailing what worked for them 👍🏻

I myself record work notes as a log (and so gets longer and longer with past weeks’ work recorded) and I think what happens is the note gets too large and so now I just need to keep renaming one as an ‘archive’ with dates and then copy the current week into an new note and start another 3 months or so of logged work until it starts having sync issues.

**** that’s not good. Try clearing your browser cookies and site data cache maybe? And between them hopefully it may sort itself?
