not had this for long

can i use any monitor with the adapter

No USB Type-C signal MacBook Pro M1 with Monitor Dell U2722DE Yesterday I come back home and turn on my Mac and my monitor was not 'connecting' with "No USB Type-C signal" message. Like the Mac was turned off. So weird because it's always on and charging with USB-C. Open the lid and login to the Mac and notice an update, "Oh! it's something at the Mac"… restarted and after OS update same error "… No signal". Turn the Mac and monitor off multiple times and nothing, changed the USB cord, connected HDMI (with adapter). I was not able to understand or get it fix… After browsing a while at reedit found the solution. Unplug and plug in the monitor after 5 minutes. Unbelievable. Yes all fans running

Don't understand the blinking

Power light stay lit

But just been up and tried it again and it came on it chimed and I log in the the fans increase and then video went off when I plug my mouse in

So I going to leave it for a bit again and try again

What you think the cause is

Hi I have tried another graphics card and it's the same as the one I have and it does the same

Also I had another go got chimes went through it's stuff came on screen just about to log in and the fans start to race and screen went off cat a chime after that so I turned off tried restart no chime

I think it's getting hot do you think it's cutting out because off the heat sinks may need to be reseated in paste with some fresh paste what you think

I got two cables with it

Plug one in but still no joy but as I turned on screen when black then back to no signal and again when you power off goes black and then no signal

Been looking on the net I think the Card I have is ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB | Apple MAC PRO Graphics Card but I have to check after I take it out if it is this card is that why it as two cables

Apple-firmware 5870 is a good card, but runs hotter, and its fan is louder.

and yes, it has two six-pin cables, and both are required to operate that card.

Pressed the shift and logo and status bar came up the it shut down

I have no wifi card in do I need this to connect to the Internet is this my problem

I had it with the logo on and it got half way along status bar and then shut down god I need help wish I never started
