App taking up space that I can't find to remove

When I go to "About this mac" and look at storage and apps I see an app there taking up 48GB that says unopened. I go to applications and it doens't seem to be there. I tried going into finder and dragging it to trash and deleting it but it's still there when i go back to about this mac. How do I free up that space?
