Machine will not accept password that has worked on thousands of occasions
after multiple restarts and multiple password attempts

so just to clarify, this is your Mac Userid and login password, and NOT your Apple-ID, RIGHT?
Traveled today arrived at destination entered password and it did not work Actually tried numerous times and machine would not accept
