Unlocking IPhone

I am helping a local non-profit. They have a donor offering them 141 "locked" iPhones. Assuming:

The donor owns these devices
Has proof of purchase
The devices were locked by an ex-employee who presumably would not co-operate by disconnecting this device from their account

Is there any way to reset these phones so that the non-profit could sell them?
