"PC has been blocked for security reasons call Apple support" is displayed on the screen

My computer is locked up. It says to call Apple support. Someone is trying to get into my identity. I can’t get it to shut off or anything help. Can I speak to someone?

Close the offending page, and do not call the number, or interact with the bogus message.

It is a Scam.... Apple does not send out messages or numbers to call.

To Shutdown hold the power button for 10 seconds or until the Mac shuts off.


Then startup in Safe Mode and follow the instructions in the provided support article above.
