I have been hacked for 5 years ongoing now. I check data analytics often and I know how many “cpu” is being used to MIRROR my iPhones. Please contact me this is urgent I get no help from the police they are too untrained in cybercrime. I have no one to go to and these hackers won’t leave me alone as well.

You have not been "hacked".

So long as you pursue that line of thinking, you will not solve whatever problem you're actually having.

What issues are arising with this iPhone, other than analytics chatter?

For how long have these problems been arising?

For other readers here, this is a year old thread, just reawakened. I’m not sure why this thread wasn’t locked.

The "bug_type": "308" line is not a literal “bug” or virus, but an internal crash classification code used by Apple’s analytics and crash reporting system (.ips and .log files).

Each number identifies the type of crash or issue the system logged (it’s diagnostic for Apple engineers, not an indication of compromise or malware).

Bug Type 308 usually corresponds to “JetsamEvent” or resource exhaustion — meaning an app or background process was terminated because the system ran out of memory (RAM) or exceeded system resource limits.

These events are normal in iOS and can happen when:

  • You have many apps open.
  • A background process (like Photos, Mail, or a third-party app) consumes too much memory.
  • There’s a memory leak or an app running inefficiently.

How to get rid of it

Since it’s not malware, there’s nothing to “delete,” but you can reduce the frequency of such logs and keep your phone stable:

  1. Restart the iPhone regularly.
  2. Update iOS to the latest version (e.g., 17.7 or 18.x, depending on your device).
  3. Delete or reinstall apps that crash often.
  4. Clear Safari website data if storage is low (Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data)
  5. Check iPhone Storage (Settings > General > iPhone Storage > free up space (try to keep 10–15% free)).
  6. Reset all settings if instability continues (Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset All Settings).

I have gone through the same thing since May 4th, 2025. The police didn’t believe me until it started getting really bad. I finally got an officer who would actually listen. He found a forensic IT officer and they just extracted all the data from my phone. I’m waiting for the guy to analyze it and get back to me. He said it will take about a month, but i have already been waiting since May so I can wait one more month. Keep advocating for yourselves. Be loud. Don’t let anyone tell you that you’re crazy and that this brand is infallible. Every electronic is subject to being compromised. To think otherwise is just naive.

I fail to see why a completely innocuous and utterly benign log message is relevant here.

If you are subject to the sorts of security tooling that would be involved, you are well outside of what assistance can be offered around here and will need specialized and tailored assistance with your security and data management practices.

I’m mildly surprised you are still even using an iPhone, or anything past a feature phone if you’re even still even carrying one, whatever the forensics report might eventually show.

Ah an apple article in apples favor. No bias there. It would behoove you to read this book:

And if the gear you are using does not meet your requirements (whether for provided security, or otherwise), you’re left to make changes with or replacements to your chosen equipment, and to your data management and security practices.

As a response to persistent issues, repeating the same sequences while expecting a different outcome seldom works well. If you find your iPhone has persistent issues or doesn’t meet your needs and for many months or years, you’re left to make changes. Or present forensics.

And that 308 resource-exhaustion diagnostic arises in entirely benign and normal activities, which means you’ll need to differentiate your particular 308 case from normal activity to further your forensics case.

iPhone is not immune to malware and to exploit tooling. Based on available info, that tooling is very expensive and its use targeted. It’s also outside of what help can be offered in a forum.

Older Apple gear and older iOS versions have more widespread exploits. If security is a concern, you will want to be running iOS 18 minimally.

But 308 isn’t uniquely notable.

I am aware of people that have been targeted by mercenary tooling, and it’s entirely Not Fun. But it’s not going to get anywhere in a forum, with the sort of data access and personal information involved in the response.
