I was not informed a signature was required from Apple

Hi, I was home and ironically people were mowing my lawn so I was in my bedroom listening to music because my dog barks at them and here the UPS guy was at the door and would not leave my package because a signature was required from Apple, I have gone through all my paperwork and I’ve tried calling and chatting. No one ever told me that or I would’ve been very aware and not missed the delivery. I understand the requirement of having to sign, but I’ve never had to sign before and my problem is no one told me that. Who was hoping that someone could help me out on this subject.
