Called apple, got number online, to request phone diagnostics. Is Zoho Assis Client legit?

Next thing we knew we were asked to download the zoho assist app to look at our phones. Their email is scam@outlook.com. Then we were asked to do all these money transfers from wallet and set up target account to trap hackers. Supposedly they were eliminating hackers on their end. Legit or just got scammed?

NO! Beware, this is most likely a scam!!! Here's why and the steps I recommend you taking:

  1. Suspicious Email: Apple uses official domains, not personal emails like outlook.com.
  2. Money Requests: Legitimate support won’t ask for money transfers.
  3. Remote Access: While Zoho Assist is real, scammers can misuse it.

Immediate Steps:

  1. Disconnect: Stop all contact and disconnect from the internet.
  2. Change Passwords: Update passwords for your Apple ID and other accounts.
  3. Report: Contact Apple Support regarding this. (The link will get you there)
  4. Monitor Accounts: Check for any unauthorized transactions.

Stay cautious and verify any support requests directly with official sources. Please, follow this steps to ensure your safety. If you have any further questions, I'll be more than happy to help :) Have a great rest of your day!
